Story Bites Green: Thames and Tide Club

Story Bites Green is an inclusive book club for children with an interest age of 5 – 8 years that meets once a month to share a new book and explore it through games, crafts and talking. Everyone has a copy of the book in advance, and they can read or listen to it to get to know the story prior to the session. There is no reading during the session, just lots of fun exploring of the ideas in the book.

This month we’ll be meeting to explore another brilliant book! Booking is essential as we have limited spaces and the books are available the month before.

The Thames and Tide Club by Katya Balen

Clem and her friends Ash and Zara are members of the Thames and Tide Club! Every weekend they go mudlarking by the river, searching for treasures that have washed up on the shore. Clem has found old things, new things and a whole heap of rubbish. But one day, she finds something really special. Something magical that belongs in the river and must be returned to its rightful owner... or else. 

Before they know it, the Thames and Tide Club are on the weirdest, wildest, underwater-iest adventure they could possibly have imagined on a mission to save Underwater London!
