We are thrilled to be bringing the fabulous author Ellie Irving to visit
to your school on Monday 10th February! Ellie will be talking to the
children about being an author and sharing some top tips and ideas,
along with a reading from one of her books.
We know that author visits often inspire children to want to read and share the author's books, so following the event there will be an opportunity for the children to meet Ellie and have their own pre-ordered book personalised and signed. The books we will be bringing along are Oh, Armadillo! which is a picture book and For the Record, which is a slightly older chapter book that is fun to share.
To pre-order a book and guarantee availability please use the form below. Pre-orders need to be with us by 10am on Sunday 9th February. There is no charge for delivery and all books that are pre-ordered will be brought into school on the day to be signed by the author at the event.

Please note that there will not be an after-school book signing as the event will take place during the school day.

Chapter Book

Luke is a gifted but awkward ten-year-old who is obsessed with world records, and is nervous about starting senior school a year early as 'the swot with the dead dad'.
When Luke's tiny, unique Jersey village is in danger of being bulldozed to the ground to make way for a waste incinerator plant, the only way to stop it is by putting the village on the map: by breaking 50 world records in a week. With the help of geeky adjudicator Simon and a colourful cast of oddball village characters, this is Luke's chance to shine, to solve his mum's relationship problems, and to face his biggest fears - with bizarre, extraordinary consequences.
