Book Elves
Would you like to support reading for pleasure in local schools, or is there a specific title that you think our local school libraries would benefit from holding?
The Book Elves is a project where local people and businesses purchase books for local school libraries and we facilitate this happening.
In our pilot scheme single copies of books were sent to 10 local primary schools and multiple copies to 12 senior schools. As a book elf you can decide the book, the budget, both or neither. We will make it happen and ensure the books are sent where they are needed, picking up the delivery costs.
Our incredible school librarians and teachers do a fantastic job, but they need a helping hand to keep quality books in the hands of the children in our community.

“I have just been given the books and the BLM magazine you have very kindly donated to our school library through your Book Elf project. Thank you so much! They will be much appreciated by our students and become valuable resources for our shelves.”
– Westcliff High School for Girls
“We are so grateful to receive the two books generously gifted by your Book Elves and would to thank you and the Elves very much for thinking of our school. The books will be of great use to our staff and in fact I have already used the “What is a Refugee?” book as this is a current topic in our assemblies.”
